Winter Walks

She Walks In Beauty

She walks in Beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that’s best of dark and bright

Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

Thus mellowed to that tender light

Which Heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,

Had half impaired the nameless grace

Which waves in every raven tress,

Or softly lightens o’er her face;

Where thoughts serenely sweet express,

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,

So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

But tell of days in goodness spent,

A mind at peace with all below,

A heart whose love is innocent!

– George Gordon Byron

Walking through chilly January air, icy wind tickling noses and turning fingers into icicles, complete silence while strolling down the path by the river side, trying to catch the noises of frozen branches breaking under warming leather boots – time stands still and fasts forward simultaneously.
Alone with your thoughts trailing to a future unknown, a new year full of new adventures, new people, new experiences but old dreams, which are still waiting to be turned into reality.
Here’s to 2015.
Here’s to new memories.
Here’s to something brand new.
Here’s to the up all nights and the midnight memories.
Here’s to love, to friendship, to hope, to fate, to faith, to the familiar and unknown.
Here’s to another start.
Here’s to a brand new year.
